Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ Resumes in Jharkhand, Highlights Tribal Rights and Political Developments

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’sBharat Jodo Nyay Yatra‘ pressed on from Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district on February 5, marking the fourth day of his journey across the state.

Following an overnight stay at the Sidhu-Kanhu ground in the district, the yatra resumed from Mahatma Gandhi Chowk this morning. Rahul Gandhi is set to pay tribute to freedom fighters Saheed Sheikh Bhikhari and Tikait Umaro Singh in the Chutupalu Valley. State Congress spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan provided details of the day’s itinerary.

After reaching Irba in Ranchi district, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to engage with weavers at the Indira Gandhi Handloom Process ground. The yatra will then proceed to Ranchi’s Shaheed Ground, where the Congress MP will address a public rally.

On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi affirmed his party’s commitment to tribal rights concerning ‘Jal-Jungle-Jamin‘ (water, forest, and land resources). This journey occurs concurrently with the JMM-led alliance government’s trust vote in the state assembly.

The Congress, a coalition member, will see Rahul Gandhi’s night halt in Khunti district on Monday. Over eight days, the yatra will traverse 804 km, encompassing 13 districts in the state.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra‘ embarked on its journey in Manipur on January 14 and is planned to cover 6,713 km in 67 days, traversing 110 districts across 15 states before culminating in Mumbai on March 20.
